Back in November, I was using a 36K modem in a 1400cs/166 running German OS 8.6. Discovering that surfing meant waiting for the waves, I bought a 56K modem. The difference was rather small -- mind you, Germany's Internet capacities are fairly maxed out, so you might have a different experience
