Hi Roger: Have you tried to boot from a known good System Folder on an external SCSI HDD? During my troubles (which may not be over, yet) any powered up SCSI device would enable booting from the internal HDD. What may have tipped the scale to normal behaviour was some combination of

Tom, I used the easter egg method and swapped, the PMU board, and PRAM battery and then followed the troubleshooting logic in the Apple service manual. Once I had completed that and tried swapping the keyboard the service manual suggests replacing the logic board. Looking at the system
