there is already an apple script for doing so, you just add the type of attachments you want trashed. it is called "sweep attachments" and can be gotten of the pm apple script depository (see power mails site or power mails faq via help/menubar for the link) ---marlyse -f

Hi, I'm trying to find a way to have emails with a specific type of attachment - in this case the ".pif" and ".src" attachments sent with emails from virus infected PCs - go directly to the trash when I receive them. A filter and/or script seems the answer, but I can't work out how to make one
