Hi Paul
I have this client with a server that I connect to through RDT
The RDT IP is (just example) 190.1.1.1
If I try to do what you suggest I can't connect
What I did is share the c: drive on the server and a folder (vfp)
net use z: \\190.1.1.1\general\vfp is what I do, but get the message
And Ed Leafe has a RunFox application in the downloads section that
can effectively give you a command window in its own VFP executable.
We have that on several of our client's machines as a simple UI to
BROWSE, REPLACE, PACK, INDEX and so forth...

Should speed become an issue, you could temporarily copy VFP9.EXE and
VFP9ENU.DLL onto the remote machine. That's sufficient to run VFP 9 in most
cases if you don't
IMO you would be better running an RDP session through the VPN and use
vrunfox.exe on the remote PC.

Hi Rafael,
RDT? Do you mean RDP?
net use z: \\190.1.1.1\general\vfp is what I do, but get the message
that the net name specified is not found.
If I leave a space between the z: and the \\ the command freezes. If I
remove the space, I get the above message.
You need the space.
Probably a

I would agree with this approach to avoid potential issues from the lag
otherwise.

If you are connected to the remote computer via RDP and your connection is
configured to share your local resources in the RDP session, you can connect to
a share on your computer and copy files that way.
In a command window in the RDP session, it would look like this:
net use x:
In all my apps I have a screen that mimics the command window. Only when
I login, is it visible. I can then RDP into the client, run the app.
login as myself and make any changes necessary.

I am adding some points to an 'old' app written in 1999 with VFP6. In fact I
work with VFP9 SP2 on a WIN7-64 machine.
Two forms run well but I am unable to open them because they have an activex

Thank you Richard. It worked very well, but I want it to operate the
other way around.
I mean, while in the RDP session in the server, I could open a DBF file
in a shared folder on my computer. That is fine and I did not know it
was so easy.
But my idea is to be able to access _the server
