looking a over 1,000 FRXs and about 2,000 SCX's. It opens all of them in a

The router might be configured to ignore ping. Joe also mentioned the modem.
Dynamic IP modems can have common changes pushed to them by the provider.
Something may have been changed preventing the ping. I would check your router
settings first.

Get the WAN side IP address of the cable modem and try to ping it
directly without going through the DNS lookup.
Check the DNS lookup by noting the IP address that ping reports when you
attempt to ping the URL.
