I'm just throwing this out there although I haven't tried it.
PROS:
Some VFP compatibility.
Fat client, console, and web application development (using .NET???)
Cross platform with Windows and Linux supported
Multiple backend databases supported natively
ODBC database access also supported
CONS:

It does look interesting but from what I could gather without jumping
through all of the hoops, cost prohibitive: $1495 for the Linux
version. Why would I have to log into their forums just to see the dang price?

Silly, that is because it is still in beta! Watch out when it gets
release and the price jumps! 8-)
