that's their natural state. This control doesn't seem to want to
display an empty date (. = {} )

You've gotten flustered over this.
oCalendar is an object until the form is released. Hide the form instead of
calling the release and you'll have the oCalendar object available to you
after it returns to the commandbutton.click.

Chet, I changed all my 'type in date' boxes to mscommctl *years* ago, and

arrow to display a calendar that you wanted to replace. That's pretty
much what the caldatepicker class is. Try using that instead of the
