If I repour the polygon it ignores the different net keepout and acts as
if the keepout isn't even there.

Ive just had IS upgrade my pc to win2k and Protel, over the small period
that ive been using win2k, seems to work just as good as my previous OS -
WinNT4.
Other people may have different opinions though.

What I want to do is change to track width and grid spacing globally. But
considering its within the dialog box of the polygon I would say that its

To change the shape of a polygon go edit/ Move/ polyGon vertices (M,G). To
add a vertex to an edge click on the cross-thingy in the centre of the edge
line.
Dont think you can do arcs but I could be wrong - its happened before !! :

I drew a line 15thou thick through the middle of a row of smt resistors.
This line has no net and is assigned keepout.
I did this to prevent a polygon from going between the resistors.
HOWEVER
The polygon completely ignores the keepout track and draws directly on top
of it.

When you place a keepout fill I dont think it gets plotted in the gerber
files so you wont end up with a unconnected piece of copper under your SMD.

A new addon server is being develop by desktop-eda. This will allow,
apparently, the interface with mechanical 3d modelling and pcb 3d
modelling. Full control of the 3d-ing etc.

It put an xls file within the database as I expected.
Is there a way to open xls files that are within a ddb with excel and not
the protel spreadsheet server?

Has anyone ever noticed that when in the mechanical layers dialog box the
TAB key makes the selection go up and SHIFT-TAB makes it go down.

yes I use the windows file system.
I create a copy of the cam's to hardrive - which is part of the preferences
of CAM output. Namely in a dir called c:\camout\
But when generating files Protel places folders in this location called
Cam for x
I cant have spaces in the folder name.
