Are you saying that, for you, some menus stay open and others automatically
close after releasing the mouse? see if you can identify which and we'll try to
recreate it.

I've seen some other menus in Pro Tools that behave like this. The native menus
in plug ins work this way. I know there are others but that's the one that
immediately comes to mind.
Maybe use vo-command-shift-space to lock the mouse down and try navigating the
menu?

OK! I am a northerner as well, but all works for me as well. I was able to
click on pop-ups with success using the mouse. After I clicked the pop-up
