OK, that does make sense. Sounds like a loto f work just to insert
something, but most likely, I could see this being the only way. I suppose
I could nudge the remainder after the insertion x amound of beat/bars over,
then just paste over the gapped space. I dono why I didn't think a that.
Command-Shift-k will export a region. If the section is not a region in and of
itself, use the "Capture Region" command (I forget the shortcut) and then use
Command-Shift-k for the export.

Earlier someone mentioned there was a way to export selected clips or regions
from a project with out doing a bounce. Could someone mention how to do that
again, it seems to have been accidentally deleted from my mail archives.
Ok now that i understand better what it is you are trying to do here is what i
would try. There is probably a another way to do this and I hope others chime
in and let me know.
First select all your tracks and then make a selection from where you want to
start the insertion to the end of the pro
For one thing, I have learned quite a bit yes, but revertting back to an old
version is something I do not yet know how to do once I've saved on top of
what I've already done.
For another thing, maybe I took it too personally, I'm sorry if so, but

The difference is that with a punch in, I thought the rest of the recording
would keep playing. Once it reaches a certain point, record would be
engaged. This way I could hear a little bit before the insert, then could
play along, and as the punch in position was reached, the rest of the audio
Yeah once again, given everything you just said, especially the part about not
wanting to use stands, avoid condensor microphones for now.Personally i have a
few decent condensor mics and dynamic mics and to be honest after doing shoot
outs before tracking vocals, majority of the time we aall a
And i wasn't trying to give you a pop quiz, simply trying to encourage you to
experiment and try different things. Your basic understanding of PT has grown
since you joined this list but you still seem reluctant to try anything till
you inquire on the *right* way to do it. So simply just saying
how is this not a punch in? Care to tell us in greater detail what exactly you
are trying to do?

Hi, Let me discribe what I am trying to record and then you will
understand what I am trying to do and make more suggestions. I like all
of the suggestions and agree that now that I am wanting to do this audio
production as a job that I need to get better microphones and adapt my
room for reco
Yeah, that's what I wound up doing.

If I was you, like the others said, set your gb project up to use the
same tempo as the pt one, and record your backing vocals. Apply the
reverb, then bounce the GB project to wave, then copy and paste the
vocal to where you want it within PT.

With all do respect, I didn't ask for a pop quiz. I asked for help.
Before you even get started on responding, let me ace this quiz, by saying
yeah, I know I can copy the audio, move to that part of the selection,
select all tracks in the session, then paste where I want the insertion to
be,
Hi Kevin and others. The Rode NT1 is a awesome mic and I will recommend it
any day as a studio condenser for doing vocals or acoustic instruments like
guitars, violens or piano. However kevin, the NT2 is the one with the pad
and patern switching and my opinion if you can afford the $100 or so mo
As for your second question, From the things you been saying you been doing
with ProTools, I think you should know how to do the second one. So here is a
challenge, Tell us how you think it could be or should be done, and We will
throw in suggestions/corrections if needed.
