I imported wav files to my session however and sure it's operator error all
my tracks are selected as well as soloed.
My question is how does 1 select/delselect contiguius tracks? I presume if
all tracks are selected I should be able to un-solo 1 track and the rest
would be un-soloed?

If all your tracks or soloed,
You can go to and interact with any track,
VO, +shift, +, m on the solo button and it will move all tracks to
the opposite state.
If you go to your track table Control, + semicolon
Selects the next adjacent track.
Control, +p selects the previous adjacent track

Thanks for the info and I remember while at the track list I did command-a
which of course selects all.
So by doing the below I should only select the desired tracks?

Shift-Command-N and the new track will be the one selected. You may never
