Hi Alan, I'm not Slau, but yep, your understanding of modifiers in this context is spot on. Should work fine for you if you're not fussed about the numpad being wireless. I've been big on remapping up until now to keep the load as light as possible when traveling, but a numpad isn't exactly going

Hi all. Slau, could this be the solution to my query the other day? The retractable USB numpad sounds perfect, although I'm not entirely sure what is meant by the term modifiers in this case... Is it the issue with using command or option on the MBP with the numbers on the USB numpad? Scott,

I've been looking for something like this for a long time as well. I certainly use an Apple Pro keyboard most of the time as I often prefer not to necessarily have the laptop in front of me but, for those instances where it's actually preferable, the keyboard is redundant so the num pad is great

Years ago, I bought a Logitech blueTooth keypad for my MacBook Pro. It was OK but I just tried it the other day and it simply didn't work. New batteries in it, I couldn't get the num pad to respond at all. So much for reliability. I've ordered a new Belken num pad from Apple which should arrive
