For what it's worth, you can also use Command-right/left arrow to go between
stereo and mono format and Command-down/up arrow to change the track type
without having to click on anything.

I can't confirm this. I'm testing Yosemite as well and ran Pro Tools. In the
new tracks dialog, I had to perform a mouse click in order to open the popup
menus. Voiceover read them all.

the Yosemite beta the whole time. The only thing that i find strange is that
for some reason when making a new track, VO doesn't read the popup menus for
what kind of track, mono or stereo and so on however i've managed
