Hi,
I’ve found Keyboard Maestro to be very useful, so thanks for the tips and
macros you have posted. Only tricky thing I have found about KM is that it
tends to conflict with VoiceOver in some way when I switch between apps. To
avoid this I have to start and stop the KM engine inbetween
Hi, I’ve paid for the Pt11 upgrade and I’m at the stage where I need to fill
out some survey about how often I use ProTools. I’ve filled out the survey,
but the field marked Purchase Date does not allow me to enter text into it. I
cannot skip this step seemingly, and when I click on the
Hi David, That field is quite strange because you can't enter information the
way you'd expect. I somehow got beyond it although the date I entered was
technically incorrect. I think others on the list have called customer service
and were able to complete the process.

Is the Ilok Manager still not accessible? I've not had a need to try it in
quite some time, but here in the next couple months, there are some plugins
that I really highly am considerring either purchasing, or asking for for
Christmas. The only thing is, they use ILok. My mom has very very
Very diplomatically put, Chris. I’m currently having an issue registering PT11,
but when I get this issue sorted, the next issue I’m probably going to have is
authorising the product on my ILOK. We’ll see how that goes when I attempt it.

they're apparently still working on it *sigh*
Luckily for the sighted help, the process is not difficult.
In my case, I recently picked up Eiosis Air EQ and some more things
from Slate Digital. In both cases, you get a license redeem code.
Run the iLok License manager, log in with your iLok
Hi folks.
I sometimes get dance music in here for mastering and am not that
familiar with the genre, at least not as familiar as others. So,
what are some of your favorite reference tracks for house, techno, etc.?
Listening to some popular examples, I gather that really wide
effects, solid
Hi folks.
I don't know what the situation is like under ProTools on the Mac,
but on Windows, Slate Digital's VMR is an accessibility fail.
Their other plug-ins (VBC VCC VTM) expose parameters with meaningful
names and in Sonar, I can adjust them in the Inspector., and use them
on just about
We have good news and bad news about this one, but mostly good news.
Absolutely every parameter has a meaningful name and meaningful
values exposed. Excelent!
Now the bad news. Nothing I do in Sonar with the plug-in on a track
causes any change in sound. and by nothing, I mean making sure
Urgh, disappointing.
I've never managed to get a response directly from Steven himself
(tried via Twitter as I couldn't find an email). Based on that, I'd
say you'd likely be spending time more productively hitting up Paul
via email and getting on the phone with Kevin. Either way, please make
Seen the same behaviour with ReCabinet and I'm yet to figure out why.
So annoying! Please keep us posted if you get to the bottom of it,
that's a great EQ.

Scott, so far both the RTA ass and aax Versions are unusable. Nothing is
labeled that makes any sense. I was able to get the revival plug to work by
having someone cited drag it into the plug-in. Then I moved the thickness
parameter and saved it as a default plug-in. So at least I can move the
that's something at least. currently i'm messing with the submit
ticket form on the Slate Support site. some items like DAW and
software version are links, which when activated, give options like a
list of version numbers, or 32 or 64 bit. They don't always behave,
at least here with Jaws
weird, now i'm getting combo boxes and things are working fine. This
is just a strange computing day!

Cheers both, all good stuff to know. I'll pop in a ticket soon too.
Suspect this is gonna be a hard road to hoe, but I reckon Slates stuff
sounds good enough to make it worth expending some effort.
I always wonder about the effectiveness of tackling this topic via
phone compared to
Hi Scott,
I think both methods should be used. :)
Heres Slate head tech Kevin Dresel's contact info.

The other day I mentioned an API graphic EQ and, if I remember correctly, I
think I referred to it as the 527. I'm not sure, I don't recall exactly, but
for what it's worth, it's the 560. No biggy, just saying.

Ok folks.
So I’m now at the point in my quest for knowledge to properly learn how to use
TCE.
I have a bass track that I need to align to a drum track.
My thought is that I find all the spots where the base is off, move it to align
correctly with the kick, then stretch the end of the prior
Hi:
You probably could have someone from avid support do the authorization for
you remotely. I had gotten my pt11 from sweetwater and they did it for me
in a jiffy. Now that doesn't let ilok off the hook. I have managed to
stumble through it on windows with a combination of
