Previously there was an issue with Yamaha type sustain pedals being wired
different than Roland type pedals. Could that be the issue here? Just a shot in
the dark….. In that case, the pedal will work the way you describe, totally
different from what you’d expect….

Try instantiating Xpand 2 and pick one of their pianos. Not as good, but still
