The first thing I'd look at is whether the clip you're selecting isn't beyond
the bottom of the visible scroll area of the Clips List. The list will display
roughly 80 items before you need to scroll down and, as we all know, VoiceOver
is capable of reading things beyond the visible b

Did you check the mouse tracking setting in the VO utility?
Maybe it's off by default in Sierra.
Just try VO+Command+F5 before executing any mouse clicks etc.

Since running Sierra, I'm no longer able to get clips from the clips
list onto the timeline, using the methods in Slau's tutorial.
Having selected one or more clips, when I do a mouse-down, VO speaks
'Now in mix ...". and focus has indeed jumped to the mix window. On
rare occasio
