Pro Tools Accessibility for pupils who are severely sight impaired

Hello all, This is my first post to this Google Group. I work in a Scottish Secondary School and we support pupils, who are severely sight impaired, to access the curriculum and learning. However, we are having great difficulty in making Pro Tools accessible for a senior pupil, as the level of

Hi Christopher, Thank you for your swift reply. The pupil's skills with VoiceOver are not that advanced, which in itself is an issue, and we will be supporting and assisting the pupil in developing these this session. Pro Tools is also brand new to the pupil and the licences that we currently

Having not seen a beta version of ProTools, and being what I know about betas, you're probably on a nondisclosure agreement, and cannot reveal anything about it, which is fair, but, honestly, Paul, I don't mean to be blunt about this, but, I feel like they really need to get their Voiceover skil

Hi Christopher, I appreciate your candour here. Pro Tools is complex and the priority needs to be the development of their VoiceOver skills. One work around, given the limited time available in a single school session, would be to use a laptop / pc workstation with Dolphin Supernova (screen enlar

Hello, While Christopher makes some valid points, all be it in his unique candor, I will say if the work around is using screen magnification in the short term, Why not just use zoom on the Mac instead of setting up a windows system just for this student? There was at one point a zoom text prod

Thank you Chris, Great advice. We'll move forward with that, and TheOreoMonster's point too. The real difficulty is the content of the Music course and the schedule for teaching it. We may need to create some additional non-subject time for the pupil so that they have extra time to develop their

I wouldn't personally recommend using Pro Tools on the Windows side. Note: this is from someone who uses it on the Mac and have occasionally used it on Windows in order to get out stuff. Having said that if you were to move to Windows then other options such as Samplitude Pro X 3 Suite which is b
