Is there a key stroke that will tell you these things, 1. Which tracks are
armed?
2. Which tracks are Soloed?
3. Which tracks are Muted?
4. Which tracks are selected?
In Sonar I am used to using a key stroke to find all these questions without
having to check each track.
Thanks
Nate Kile,
I instaled mine yesterday. I have listened to kevins part one training about
a dozen times now. Everything really started to sink in today as I bumped
around in it. Things are much different for me than Sonar at this point, but
I am pretty determined to dig in and give it a good fight. I

That's funny about the EQ, I have spent 15 minutes applying plugins to find out
that I was on the wrong track channel and none of the plugins were even
affecting the track I was targeting.

Did you get any where with your busses and what not? I am just switching over
from Sonar to PT and can try to help with some general guide lines. Here is how
I may use FX plugins on a bus. Say I don't want to put a The same FX on 10
tracks and have to adjust imput levels of the FX's I will send
Be careful reinstaling PT from a disk, I have known people who have found
their disks to have a short life span and only instal a couple times before
the disk seems to self destruct.

Which version do you have? From my understanding, with Pro tools 8 you do
need a device/serfase and they have to be from Digidesign with the exception
of the Mackie Onyx serfases that had temperary drivers available for the pro
tools 8. With Pro tools 9 and up, I believe you can just use the
Has anyone compiled a list of importable waves defanition presets that can be
read by Voice Over Yet? Last I read in the old topics this was the necessary
step to have access to the waves plugins. Thanks.

I got my first Mac today. I got an Imac, quad core, with the I5 processor with

Hello, I am new to PT, but not mixing, maybe I can use this as practice as I
get my feet wet with Protools, I may try to take a stab at it, but it could
be a week before I even get it back to you in all honesty.
Here is one of my last bigger projects and some other misalanious stuff. It

Is anyone using the HOTKEY MATRIX - keyboard Control Surface for Pro Tools? It
is a shortcut USB key board made for PT. I am considering it, but am not sure
if anything in voice over will conflict with the short cut functions. Here it

Nate Kile,
but, in general, I think screen reader
users are used to such memorization. I don't know, to me it seems superfluous
although it probably looks pretty cool.

I put them on the same track quite often, I just adjust the input gain on
one or the other to adjust the amount of each affect going to the bus or
track. Not sure how it works in PT, but you can genraly creat a sub bus as
well to rout say your main reverb bus through, and on the sub bus you
