The bass is being ducked very briefly to let the kick drum through.
But it's also being distorted, with the distorted version blended in
at low level to make it growl.
The other thing in there is a bass synth that the band really wanted
to hear, and
Interesting effect on the bass! I like how it makes the fingers
landing kinda squidgy. Can you give any clues of what you did there? I
can hear compression, but it seems like there's a lil somethin' extra.
