Hello all, I have not done much quantizing before, but I have a track that I
need to fix my drums and a few other things on it there are timing errors and
rather than to re-record them I wanted to see if I could quantize them but I
don’t remember how to do it :-) it’s been a long time

OK, tedious might not have been the best of words. It's not so much that
it's tedious, as much as it's one more extra keystroke that you could
have done with only one.
Again, what it really comes down to at the end of the day is different
folks, different strokes.
Chris.

Hey Christopher,
Thanks I'll definitely give those a try. Out of curiosity, why is the second
method so tedious?

Sorry to be getting back with you so late. I've been in the studio all
night.
Absolutely.
Just select whatever tracks you want to work with, then hit Command+A.
Another way, though more tedious, would be to select the tracks you want
to work with in your track list table, then press return
Hi Christopher,
Selecting seems to work. Is it possible to select all on a track though? Would
make it a lot quicker lol. Or maybe I just need to nake bigger selections?
Thanks.

Ramy,
You'll have to read the manual at some point. Selecting audio has absolutely
nothing to do with VoiceOver. Either enter the values via the numeric keypad
for the range of audio or use the down and up arrows to make your selection
while being aware that the selected track is the one that w

When you've recorded, make sure the instrument track is selected by
pressing shift s while it plays. This will solo the currently selected
track. If it is not the right one, then either use control p (move
up), or control ; (move down), to move to it. Or, find your track
table in the mix window, an

I think it may be option 0, but can't remember.
The other, which is what I do if things really go amuch, is export the
MIDI of the track you've recorded, then edit it in QWS, which is a
free windows program availabel from andrelouis.com/qw

Hey Chris
this is how I do it.
I use control P or semi colon in the edit win
quantizing. It automatically is set on 16th
note. If you know that, you don't have to do anything but hit enter twice agter
opening the quantize field.
After selecting the amount to quantize hit enter once ort twice nad it should
be quantized.
Hope this helped!

Hello,
I tried to quantize a midi recording, but I don't hear any difference.
What I did:
1. Selecting bars 1 through 4 in the main counter cluster
2. I went to the menu "event", event operations, quantize
3. In the combine grit popup menu, I selected 1/8. That's the resolution, I
wanted.
4. I c

next test will be the audio quantization?
