it’s just 1 fader, but will i need more than that? i mean will i control more
than 1 track at a time?

I bought the faedport 8 a while ago and it works well for me. You need some
initial setup on the unit itself to select the right protocol, but then the
rest is easy to set up in protools itself.
I initially considered the 1 fader version, but I am happy that I bought

because I'm going to work with more than 8 let's say ... 24 tracks, or 32.

Chiming in here as there doesn’t seem to be much responses on this thread. I
don’t own nor use the Fader port 8, however if memory serves correct both the
fader port 8 and 16 should let you work with tracks in banks of 8. So you
should be able to bank up and work on tracks 9 through 16 or 17 thr
