They are, yes.

Can dual-head Macs drive a two-display GeoWall-type setup under
PyMOL?

So, that sure looks like PyMOL to me (actually, four instances
of it) running on the display of a PowerMac G5 on the
newly-updated Apple Store website today.
My question is, which structure is that?

to do that (even if just in full
screen mode, or in Linux if/when the drivers catch up) on the G5
PowerMacs we're deploying now. I'd also appreciate reading
about experience with this that anyone has had.

a heavily used Wiki its definitely easy to get lost.
Agreed. To have a better shot at success, a wiki needs to be
seeded with some initial content, and some initial stylistic
conventions (free links vs CamelCase wiki names, for instance)
should be set down.

a new set of drivers were made
available Nov 5.
It'll be interesting to hear how they fare with PyMOL, and if
any difficulties get cleared up by them.

It seems that in order to save the image, you must first display
the image. This limitation has been noted earlier:

when I tried to take the stl files through the first stage
of the conversion, I got an error about the input not being a
valid stl file. I'm hoping to get my hands on an stl file from
another source (AutoCAD, maybe?) and seeing if I can tease out
what the problem is.

over ways to approach putting a system like this together (both

What kind of uses does your system see? Is it predominately
used by researchers, or by classes, or a good mix between the
two?

I've got it bookmarked. Thanks for the tutorial, and for posting the link.

They do in my hands, using the NuVision NSR (for non stereo-ready cards like
the 8500) glasses.
