Manager Plugin (called Fetch Pytho Plugins) and then activate it inside the
Plugin Manager Plugin (called Manage Plugins ...) in the Plugins menu.

I've been running Qgis Mimas on WinXP until now, installed with the 1.3.0
Windows stand-alone installer.
Recently, I installed the OSGeo4W distribution because of the GRASS support,
and simply because i'm curious to run Qgis trunk builds.

I guess you can do that only with PostGIS layers (I don't know if SpatiaLite
layers too). Just open the layer properties window, go to the General tab,
go to 'Query builder' and set a query.

Depending on your input data it's not really possible to only show
selected features. If it's not enough to just highlight the selected
features, you can use Save Selection as Shapefile and then re-import
this newly created file. Of course that's not the elegant way. Maybe a
