yes, you'll probably need to put your vector into a postgis DB and
activate a trigger that calculates the area on inserts/updates (you can
do it also with PostGIS Manager).

In the hype of the upcoming release of Windows 8 I though it would be helpful
to have feedback about QGis in this OS environment. I am happy to tell any
interested that I was able to install the standalone version in Win8 running in
virtual box

tab to turn on/off labeling every part of multi-part features, e.g.

I´m searching fort a possibility to measure areas using Live-GPS-Tracked
vertices. After adding the feature the Area should be displayed and the label
should be the measured area. Is it possible to combine the GPS-Tracking Tool
with the area measuring tool?
