I have a large DEM, reprojected into UTM from geographic lat long, (original source, National Elevation dataset 1/3 arc second DEM). When I produce a hillshade using Raster-Analysis-DEM (Terrain models) the hillshade is full of tiling artifacts, the edges of which are slightly offset from NS and E

I removed all of the dependencies previously installed (gdal, geos etc...) then updated my library and used the locate command to delete what I could find. It was a bit difficult with postgres/GIS because MacOSX comes preinstalled with postgres 9.1, but I eventually got all that worked out usin
