I've used the value tool in the past but with
qgis 1.8 on fedora 18 it crashes qgis on startup every time.

I am trying to use an affine transformation to shift some data from a local

I've solved the problem about the server wms connection. I've changed the
proxy from "http" to "default", thank you Paolo Cavallini for the advice
