Hi Axel,
this relates only vaguely to your question:
1. If it's only for adding gpx to topographic maps, you could use
opentopomap?
https://opentopomap.org/
2. in QGIS, add the QuickMapServices plugin and under "Settings" choose
"More Services". This will add a lot more web services, for exampl
7.4
(i.e. ln -fs grass79 grass74), as qgis seems to look for grass74, 72, 70.
For me this did the trick, :-) - a "thank you" to markusN.
Best and season's greetings

Hi All,
I'm a bit stuck with GRASS integration into QGIS. I have both qgis3.11 and
grass79 compiled from git into /scratch/opt/ on a linux debian buster
machine.
On startup, the plugin seems to load fine from
/scratch/opt/lib/qgis//plugins/libgrassplugin7.so
When I enable the plugin, I can create
Hi Aldo,
I guess this is due to missing the python3-version of matplotlib. Can't
help with MacOS - if you were using the OSGeo4W installer setup, you could
install it via this setup, it's called "python3-matplotlib", current
version is 3.0.0-1.

Hi Calvin, Martin,
forgot to say there are also grass functions to do this, namely
r.sunhours
r.sunmask.datetime
r.sunmask.position
see
https://github.com/OSGeo/grass/tree/master/raster/r.sunmask
for reference.
With this you can also get shadow areas from dems.

Hi Calvin.
did you have look at the python library "pvlib"? It's a library for
photovoltaic modelling and does contain solar positions. Not sure about
lunar positions though.

HI Andrea,
works fine also here on QGIS3.6. Eventually you could use fiddler or

Hi Bernd,
the connection URL of your service is https - if you switch to http only,
then it works (tested in qgis 2.18).

Hi all,
wishing a nice weekend. :)
I would like to label a vector layer with the text in some sort of
"placemark speech box" and can't really find a solution to this. I created
a svg with inkscape to use this as background (attached), but it gets
misplaced and the text is not centered inside the
Hi Arni,
when you defined the database connection, did you opt for "Saving the
password"? If not, this might be the error, as you will likely not pe
prompted for the password again (happened to me when trying to add rasters
to the canvas).

Hi Grant,
not sure if this is what you want, but there's the ftools plugin:
http://docs.qgis.org/2.14/en/docs/user_manual/plugins/plugins_ftools.html
with it come the "research tools" with which you can define vector grids
(not rotated though afaict):
