Of course! I do not know how many times I looked straight over that.
Thank you very much. It works perfectly.

surprisingly. I knew it was a long shot.
I can certainly just wait, but I thought I'd give it a try. Are there
other options?

Afaik this was added between 1.4 and 1.5.
Marco,
Thanks! I was on 1.4. I just snagged 1.5 and you're right: it does
exactly what I expected, moving all selected elements at once.

Is there a way to move multiple features (or all selected features) on a
vector layer?
Currently the "Move Feature" tool grabs a single feature even if several
are selected, but I'm probably missing something.

I'm sure the answer is right in front of me; I just haven't found it yet:
Given a layer, is there any way to find out if the layer is part of a
group in the legend, and if so which group -- from inside a Python
plugin? QGis 1.4.0 here.

I have a PostGIS table with multiple unique, not-null, INT4 columns.
QGis seems to latch onto the first unique, not-null column rather than
the primary key.
Is there any way to control that?

Does anyone know of a way short of re-compiling to change the default

I have some guys that will be using that feature a lot, and JPG is the
format they have to use.

The context for this is a Python plugin, so in the worst case I could

Add the X and Y columns.
3. Populate the X and Y columns with xy coordinates from the_geom.
4. Export the PostGIS table to a SHP file.
5. Drop the temporary PostGIS table.
