Hi Mike,
you should provide a bit more details about the error (best would be to paste
the whole Message, or at least the significant part), and maybe which Version
of the Plugin you use (I believe 2.14.14 ist the version of qgis). And best you
describe what you have done.
Cheers.

Hi Stephen,
you can import the textfile directly to QGis (layer-->add layer-->import
textfile). Afterwards you can save the layer as shapefile (layer-->save as)
(Shapefile is default).
The file should be like:
x,y
1,2
2,3
3,4
if you have other column names you have to set the correct column for

Hi Nick,
I believe you get a black layer because your calculation always results in "1"
resp. "1","2" or "3". Unfortunately I cannot verify your equation because I have
no QGis by hand in this moment. But I think you wantedt to calculate this:
((“m@1" < 238 AND “m@1" > 210) * m@1") + ((“m@2" < 12
Hi Nick,
I believe it is black bcause you always get a value of "1". Unfortunately I can
not verify this, because I have no QGis by this moment. Most propably you wanted
to calculate:

Hi Azizul,
what exactly do you mean with vertical. Is North to the left or right, or Do you
want to rotate the original directions?
Maybe you use odd projection settings...

Hi Elvisnake,
best practice, I would suppose, is to get comfotable with Qgis, try it
out somehow (it works mostly like widly known simple Gis systems). There
are also Blogs, Wikis, Tutorials.
If you run into issues you could ask targeted questions. It is quite
difficult to give you a beginners cour

Hi Els,
as far as I know this is not possible. Actually it makes not much sense.
You can group layersm and it looks as if you have done this already. if
you want to keep your legend settings then you can save them in the
legend settings dialog. Actually if you give the legend fiel the same
name as

Hi Pedro,
you can sort a table by simply clicking on the header of a column. You
can switch the order down/top - top/down by clicking again.

Hello J.R.,
I'm not sure about want you intend to do. Do want to adapt a model to
calculate contours of the data or do you simply want to display a
continous (raster)image? the question is rather do you want to use
vector data or raster data. If you like to gain a raster image from the
points you m

What format has the txt file? The file should have a header to get all
da to import a delimited text it should be composed from at least a x
and y coordinate. You have to give the delimiter (probably a "," or
maybe a tabulator = \t . If you now select a file, then you can chose

This pretty much looks to me like a special character in a filename. I
had this the other day. replacing special chars worked for me as a
workaround.

You can use the fTools-Plugin. With the merge tool you can merge two
layers. I.e. you merge layer one to layer two. Then you merge the
resulting layer with layer three.

What about using grass directly? For a working grass plugin grass have
to be installed on the system anyway (is that so?). Hence you can start
grass on its own.

Hi Nüzhet,
for me the data look OK. What do you mean by proper value scale?
You can check the coordinate system (project settings). It should be set
to WGS84 (which is the common system for global data).
With that settings it looks correct. and scale looks pretty normal on
first sight.

Hi Johan,
What you are looking for is grass indeed. But I belive what you trying
to do is quite in vain. It would be much easier to get a DEM and drape
the IR-Photographs over it. This all is very easy to do with Grass and
nviz. Watch

Hi,
without having a deeper view in the plugin I would expect that importing
dxf is quite difficult anyway. The main issue is that dxf contains
multiple geometric formats (polylines, lines, points, annotations,
splines ...) mixed in different layers! Whereas a shape can contain only
one single geom
what exactly do you want to do?
As i understand you want to extract parts of a raster.
First of all raster and vector are incompatible types!
I would suppose two possible strategies:
1) you convert the polygons to a binary raster (0,1) and multiplicate
both.
2) you export rasters of the extent from

You can set the scale for one raster. Then save the settings as style
