I feel your pain, running QGIS on Mac myself. Check this location out:
~/Library/Application Support/QGIS/QGIS3/profiles/default. Also try:
"Settings --> User Profiles --> Open Active Profile Folder" from QGIS
HI Scot, if you have a qgis window open, and open your finder window, you
should be able to drag data sources directly from your downloads folder
into qgis. You may need to unzip some of the data sources first.
Maybe someone who is more familiar with QGIS on a mac or the tutorial can
chime in with
All - beginner user here following the QGIS instructions to load Alaska data
set into QGIS.
