Bob Spelten Jr. has updated my BMP graphics viewer.
Bob has extended the range of BMP file types which can be converted (most
types from 24-bit to 1-bit), while conversions from QL graphics to BMP can
now be done as either 24-bit or 16-bit files.
Saving to a DOS or NFA named device will repla
uQLx 2017
A newly revised version of the Linux QL emulator uQLx (uQLx 2017) is now
available.
Graeme Gregory has "brutalised" (as he puts it on github) the sources to
bring them up to date. New binaries are available for 32- and 64-bit x86
systems, as well as ARM (6/7/8). Includes binaries r
I think the limit of 2GB does apply on any QL system as it is due to the
fact that
our all File Systems use 2 short integers as indexes :
-One as Block number (initially Sector number on MDV)
-One as Byte index inside the block
With a driver making good use of unsigned integers (I am not sure all

How about the opposite
I have only sniffed at WXQT2 but ran into problems.
It doesn't let me choose a DOS directory.
It does that to me too if I try to select from a file selection menu.
But if I manually type in the DOS (well, Windows) directory in the Options
window it seems to work.

during Q68 development, I'm using Jonathan Hudson's WXQT2 to access
QXL.WIN container files under Linux/Windows.
I experienced problems when writing "large" container files over 8
or 16 MB. Is this a known problem?
Are there alternatives to WXQT2, i.e. other graphical frontends to
exchange files

Updated sources for XTC68 cross-compiler for QDOS C68 for POSIX systems (e.g.
Linux) is available from Jonathan Hudson on github (thanks to QL Forum’s XorA

Strangely I can.
When run, the system hangs (padlock) so not a total crash.
I did replace the DBAS inside LAUNCH with ENV_bin from the first code
block, no point in doing DBAS twice.
I do remember a long time ago I had a similar problem in my BOOT and

Ciao Giorgio
Some time ago, I observed and reported here a similar sounding issue
whereby LRESPR would fail from within an SBasic PROCedure. Not all of
them, but some.
I resorted to loading the very same extensions outside of a procedure,
without issue.
