You might want to check-out Easy Jet's Liverpool to Basel route.
I've
used it several times when taking sailing courses at Plas Menai.
Jon.
Thanks
Just looked, only appears at London Gatwick, not Liverpool or
Manchester
Was it Easyjet?
Dilwyn Jones
Yes it was Easyjet but they
long, so I don't really fancy driving a lot over there if I'm
likely
to be tired even before I've got there.

Just had a quick look now and maybe I found the wrong bag. Price
£7.50, the one I saw is larger than Easyjet's max cabin bag size
unfortunately.
This is the one, now £13.99 (286-1962):

Ah yes baggage. I was on another journey to a US trip. It was KLM
and because of the silly rules about UK airport allocations, I had to
take a London City hop to Amsterdam - all included though in the price.
Allowance was 32kg total for two bags - quite

Mind you Argos sell a pretty good (and big) cabin bag for about

was surprised how large the max actually is. I immediately took

Baggage is the only unseen extra (if you ignore food and coffee). At
least Easyjet are not *considering* charging for the loo, unlike
Ryanair. I think they did that just for the publicity, as they withdrew
it quickly.
Or maybe they were testing the waters
Yes indeed. With two of you it might be worth hiring a car. In
France I
paid only £90 or so for 6 days.
It is half that time I guess.

Easyjet from Luton or Gatwick is currently around £50 plus, including
taxes etc.
...which is less than a train fare Bangor to London/Luton (unless I
can get my ahead around advance booking discounts)
So taking a Virgin to London is not cheap these days ;-
Add me to that list too - I'm hoping to be on holiday in
