Hi,
I read the archives, and posted a while ago on this topic with
no solution. What I want is to block specific domains / addresses.
This is not, in first instance, related to blocking spam. Now the
problem is, that fetchmail, if receiving a badmailfrom request
from qmail-smtpd stops
Hi,
I surfed the archives, but there were only
problems no solution. I fetch mail with
fetchmail (;-) and want to block some addresses
and domains. But fetchmail interrupts after getting
the first blocked mail and won't receive any
further ones. As far as I can see it is qmail
and not fetchmail
Hi,
I have this about 3 times a month on this account which subscribes to a
lot of
mailing lists, but only when Norton Antivirus is scanning incoming pop
mail. I
guess I could disbale it and then to try to duplicate it. Is the original
poster using Norton to scan his incoming mail?
I can

you may read doc/INTERNALS of qmail, which
explains the different stages of mail processing.

In qmail you never have a mailbox for root
You may read dot-qmail
Whenever I send mail to root@localhost I get an error message
root@mydomain
Sorry, no mailbox here by that name. (#5.1.1)
A trial installation of qmail does not have this problem.
Similar, almost identical, setup.
Yes, but doing SIGHUP's is not qmail
related. It's a general unix issue, so you may
read the Config-HOWTO, to find it
you can use www.google.com
Tom
OK, I am learning, slowly but surely. Now I need to know how to send a
SIGHUP. I don't think it is good for my system to keep rebooting
Hi,
I can connect POP3 to the unix users but i cannot receive any email.
When i open the unix-user i made his home directory to be :
/home/username.
Is this the correct one for qmail? If not which is?
this depends on your configuration, in most cases it is
hint: link /var/spool/mail/user +
what about three accounts, with a three way forward?
seems easier to do, or?

Hi,
I want to install a webmail interface on a server
of my provider running qmail. The problem is that I've only restricted
access and no IMAP. What I want is simply a login
to connect via pop3 to a account and read the mails in a browser.
Unfourtunately I couldn't find anything that seems to

Hi,
it's driving me nuts. I don't know a not tested
permission setting. Why do I get an access denied error,
every time a message bounces, because there's no mbox?

Hi,
I'll try, as you guess, setting up qmail. The archives and
the man pages et al doesn't work out...
The problem I'm facing is that I can't sent mails
to local users. The permissions and the link from
/var/spool/mail are correct (no group and world permission).

How do you check the messages? By checking the contents of the user's

or using Pine?
