you maybe experience like I did. do some check on your qmt:
nslookup 192.168.1.58
it should be resolved if not then create at least an A record on your DNS
server so qmt can reverse lookup that ip
Problem is, I use straight DNS servers for outgoing and non recursive, not
even internally,
What do you get when you execute the following command on the server that
gives you the error:
host -t mx compdev.domain.com
(real domain replaced with domain.com)
host -t mx compdev.domain.com
Host compdev.domain.com not found: 3(NXDOMAIN)
What's confusing to me is that compdev is just
ok first, what is the output of nslookup compdev.domain.com ?
Server: localhost
Address:127.0.0.1#53
** server can't find compdev.domain.com: NXDOMAIN
so you are not maintaining your domain zone ?
Yes, I do maintain it but I've never had to maintain an internal set as well?
sorry about previous nslookup that a mistake
ok first, what is the output of nslookup compdev.domain.com ?
with chkusers enabled qmt will check the incoming connection and it
should be resolve into ip address
so you are not maintaining your domain zone ?
if yes, I think there are 2 thing you
Here's what's happening in more detail.
I have a bank of web servers. Each one is supposed to use one of the QMT
machines to send outgoing mail. We'll call that one QMT-1.
Then I have accounts on another internal QMT machines that we'll call QMT-2.
The web server tries to use QMT-1 to send it's
So really, it's looking like I need to create DNS records for all of the
internal machines also then? For internal use only?
I'm thinking this because on the compdev machine, I tried nslookup for itself
and it fails. Am I overlooking a simpler way of doing this? I just need
internal machines to
Hi list!
I got this situation where a customer complaints that emails to his clients
never reach its recipients, but the give no rebounds and/or errors.
Looking at the logs at /var/log/qmail/qmail-send/current I found those lines:

you need something like this:

Thanks Jake,
now date format makes more sense.
Still wondering about the loss issue.

Look at the logs like this:
tail current | tai64nlocal
In other words, pipe the output through tai64nlocal. Qmail uses it's own
time-stamps (@400) to keep track of the time.
Speaking of the log file timestamps...
Has anyone found an easier way to view the logs using tai64nlocal? What I'm
looking for is something like a Webmin plugin or some other type of viewer,
rather than always going to command line.
Thanks,
Phil

127.:allow,RELAYCLIENT=,DKSIGN=/var/qmail/control/domainkeys/%/private,RBL
SMTPD=,NOP0FCHECK=1
192.168.:allow,RELAYCLIENT=,DKSIGN=/var/qmail/control/domainkeys/%/private
,RBLSMTPD=,NOP0FCHECK=1,SENDER_N
OCHECK=1

once I have installed qmailadmin with spambox enabled
now I want to disabled it
so I am just installed it with standard command
# rpmbuild --rebuild --with cnt4064 vpopmail-toaster-5.4.17-1.3.4.src.rpm
# rpm -Uvh vpopmail-toaster-5.4.17-1.3.4.x86_64.rpm
but then when I check on qmailadmin

Hello;
I have not made any headway in my quest to convert a Qmailrocks installation
over to a Qmailtoaster installation.
After I rsync the domain directory on each machine, make sure the ownership
of those domains trees is vpopmail:vchkpw and copy /var/qmail/users/cdb
file, I use vconvert -c
