i simply reinstalled qtp-plus to resolve this since anyway it would not
make any changes to my email system.

i installed spf to prevent spam from cases where the from and to email id
is the same and from my server.
to check the work i did as such
a) on SERVER A : i created email id : u...@domain_a.com
the dns settings for this email is all on server A
b) on SERVER B : i created u...@somedomain.com,
