Suddenly my server stopped connecting to remote SMTP servers. Started
getting below error:
[root@webmail dovecot]# telnet mail.ikf.co.in 25
Trying 180.92.170.136...
telnet: connect to address 180.92.170.136: Connection refused
telnet: Unable to connect to remote host: Connection
Increasing soft limit had resolved the issue.
Thanks.

in the /var/qmail/supervise
there are folders smtp and submission
smtp is for people connecting on port 25 -- primarily external users
if you open smtp/run then you will see a line

Yes. You won't be able to simply replace the spamdyke.conf file with the
old one. It's not very big though, and you should just manually review
the settings.

These are all good things to do to QMT, and I hope to have separate

Rajesh,
We are using 587 for SMTP. Only authenticated users can send as well
(don't want to become a SPAM server). Does the port number have

don't used RELAYCLIENT=
xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx:allow,CHKUSER_MAXWRONGRCPT_STRING=400 is enough
however the easiest would be :
is build a separate tcp.smtp.587.cdb file and disable chkuser all together
like what we do. chkuser is a great tool -- but unfortunately customers
