maybe this is a spamassassin thing, but any mail with html content
thats marked as spam gets mangled.
There are only references to the pics and content, and no way to
view the original email.
Could be that the mail is changed to a text only document. Not
sure.
Any way to stop this?

I want to keep it at the default setting, but there are a handful

I'm going to answer the second question, if in brief. You can
purchase a real cert from registerfly.com for about $15, or if you
generate a new cert you use the machine's FQDN instead of
localhost and it should stop complaining. You may need to import

Thanks Lynn,
I'm just watching the install script run having re-built the
server from scratch. (Fedora Core 4).
I changed the password an
the password is now 'your-msqld-root-password' , if that helps.
And that should still work fine since the script wouldn't care.
Its a security risk though..
Read somewhere that its a bad idea to change the other password.
But I suppose if it's done properly...
might try http://127.0.0.1/admin-toa
theres a difference between clients and servers. Servers still use
25 to send and receive, and as far as I know, they dont try other
ports.
a simple router can translate an external port into a different
internal port, as in port 587 to 25, but it does no good if
servers wont use the higher port.

Hi Lynn,
It depends how you configure your firewall system. I have my

Yes, your dns query must be open at firewall level. If not, when
your client start to do browsing, or your email server wants to
send email, it will get many errors. Is a very important port at
any network environment.

Is there actually a reason to open ports 53 UDP & TCP for the DNS
service?
Do email servers actually query the DNS service on a remote
server?
