Simply because I want to rsync to the virtual system.
I have more than just QMT on the old box.
So an rsync fixes all issues almost a mini-clone.

FWIW, I've found fsarchiver (on systemrescuecd) very handy for doing P2V
of pretty much anything, including all flavors of Linux and Windoze.
It's a great tool. If you're (simply) migrating from a physical to
virtual machine, I wouldn't hesitate to use it.
