Dear Dana,
Hi I wanted to thank you for answering my survey. It has really open my eyes to the way of being a quad and para. As for me there is no one at my door with roses.
Thank you

I too was told by my doctors that the bleeding
would cease. About 90% of the bleeding stopped but I still get
drainage. I change my drain sponge once a day no less than once every
other day.

I can see two quads falling in love but let's be
for real, it is not practical. Unless one or both are filthy rich and have
quality caregivers around-the-clock. As a male quad I would be looking for
a paraplegic or an able-bodied woman able to compensate for some of the things

Gabe has been ill so I haven’t posted for a while. He
had close to 300 seizures in October. Fortunately most of them were mild (still
hell for him). After he got the kidney stones out that were causing the AD they
put him on an antibiotic. It was the wrong antibiotic and he got a raging UTI

I had a bad bout of bronchitis (on nebulizer) in 1998. All I needed was a
knowledgeable person to assist me with the quad cough and could
find no one.
So it took a couple weeks to cough up the gunk that gurgled there
day after day. One day I somehow coughed hard enough and my

Very subtely (yet LOUDLY obvious to us) the commercial world and all of TV world is doing the same thing

I had a nurse put my shoes on with my big toes bent under. Gave me some
nasty blisters. Now I have the nurse push with their thumbs to make
sure my toes aren't bent.

I am assuming that your biggest problem is when you're in bed, and that is my biggest problem when I have a cold, and I am unable to help myself in any way. I have trained everyone around me in the quad cough technique that I learned at Santa Clara Valley med, and I try to get rid of the mucus be
This is what we vent users use.
http://www.jhemerson.com/coughassist.htm You don't need to be on a vent
to use it though. It's just more common with vent users because we
often have no diaphragm movement. A good option for someone like
yourself would be the assisted cough. It works awesome

Theo,
I'm having my annual bronchitis bout now. I use a Devilbis nebulizer

Anti-Histamines I don't know how to reduce the time of
coughing/congestion.
If you have that annoying tickle that would typically be taken care of

I was wondering what you guys do to help you cough, I have a cold which has
