Thinking of purchasing a used pontoon boat for my son (C5/C6 23 yrs old 3.5
years post) so he can return to a sport he loves...boating and fishing...any
suggestions for ease boarding there isn't always a dock at some of the smaller
lakes in Vermont?
Also as far as a trust...is a boat
How kewl is that? I think a platoon might be a great idea? Make sure the
platoon is safety checked and ty-downs are added to secure the chair for
riding and fishing. Regarding the trust. That could be viewed differently
in each state.

Mark works for Pride Mobility has a great web site himself.

Nancy,
The Pontoon boat sounds cool, I would love to have one to go to the lake
fish. Get your son back into his hobby, what a great Mom you are!

Also, how do you sleep? I sleep with a pillow over my head and

I look forward to hearing what other people have to add about the pontoon.
There is quite a bit of information on Pontoon boats and paraylzed individuals
on the net. The first thing you have to determine is are you going to access
the boat from a dock or land. Then you will have to make a wider gate for the
chair to enter the boat. Ifyou are accessing from a dock you

Mark has a platoon boat too. The earlier pictures from his summer
vacations showed him on a platoon. I'm not sure what Mark is a Captain of

Hi. I've been a quad for 19 years. I just recently started having reactions
to tape on my skin. It welts up and even blisters at times. Wondering if
anyone else has this issue? I've tried all kinds of tape.

Has anyone used an alternating seat cushion? I purchased one from the Aquila
Corp. It pinched my skin and I developed a pressure sore. Wondering what has
helped keep sores away? I'm almost ready to start getting up again and need
a decent cushion.

A lot of us have problems with low blood pressure. The reason your blood
pressure drops after you eat is because blood is going to the inner core of
the body to help in the digestion process. The reason I know this is
because they trained us in the Army that you might initially feel cool or
cold
Hi Kathy,
I have tried a variety of cushions and have settled on a Roho Quadtro high
profile cushion that has helped a lot, but nothing, and I mean nothing,
works optimally without also incorporating frequent pressure relief (a.k.a.
weight shifts), at least in my case.

DU have self-directed care. Through that program you can train your
