I was wondering what if anything do you take for AD (Especially after a BM)? I
know that vicodin helps but I just heard that the FDA will be reclassifying it
and it may be harder to prescibe, especially for long term.

Meredith, I think propantheline is the drug of choice for cold sweats. I'm not
sure about bp, head aches, or the shiver shakes. I know, as you do, AD is
miserable beyond words. Sometimes when I am having a bad spell, those dark
thoughts of Is it worth it? become very powerful.

I know of no meds for AD. AD is a natural or un-natural warning that
something is/may be wrong. Dis-arming that warning would defeat its purpose.
Vicodin is normally dispensed for pain.
If a BM is creating an AD issue, perhaps/maybe the BM should happen more
often to rid the body of waste
I have a colostomy sadly but when I have AD going on for other reasons I take
nitroglycerin and figure out what is causing it and stop it quickly but I only
take it if my blood pressure is going up really high and I’m at risk of a
stroke….
