Hi Joan,   I use a microphone stand with an extension bar and have some plumbing straw attached to it with plastic ties, both bought at home depot.  My water jug sits on the floor and the mic stand is bent right at my mouth to get the straw anytime at night   Greg   c41991   www.3-7-

I have a two quart bottle and a long (about 5') straw that I use while in bed.
