I must be thinking of the wrong thing. My cystoscopy was a little fiber optic gizmo about 1/8 inch in diameter with a little light on the end.  Doc inserted and the pic showed on a monitor by the bed.  It looked pretty nasty in there - lots of cubbys and dangly things.  No pain and no majo
