I find that both methods have their uses. Top posting can let you respond to the whole thought more readily, without leaving newcomers to the discussion completely out of the loop. Interlineated posting (bottom posting) lets you respond point-for-point, something that is particularly useful in mult

Thanks, I didn't realize that PRAM power was so important. A dead battery on a PC just causes the system to go to default. As usual for computers, the logical machines are not so logical sometimes - LOL. It was good info and something I will not forget on furure mac trouble shooting problems

The best suggestion I have is to try to find someone who has a similar Mac and swap out the parts one at a time to see which component has truly gone south. Trouble shooting is a hit and miss at a best guess. >From other systems I have worked on it does appear (or not appear in this case - LOL)
