Hi all got a 33.6 supra modem fitted to my 840 and I decided to use
free-ppp to access the net when I configured to modem I noticed the port
speed box so I set it to 57600 because I new that this was the ports max.
for some reason it connects at 57600 every-time even though the modem

ok i did what you said and set it for 115200 and it says that it is
connecting at that speed but the download speed of web pages is the same.
Whats the max port speed for the 840av modem port. and how can i find the
correct modem speed

Yeah, probably because WWW pages are very fragmented downloads. Try a large
file via FTP.
