Ok, could be a faulty rev counter then, measure the voltage between
ground and the green wire with the engine running, there should be some
voltage there, exactly what will depend on your meter.
If your meter has a RPM range then you should be able to read the rpm
directly.

Sorry, i meant the rev counter wire is spliced into a coil wire a few
inchs up from the Edis connector.
The Edis module powers the coil.
I think your's though will be running directly from the Edis connector.

Ok, had some more time with the multi meter, found the circuit between
the edis and the tacho is okalso the three wires from the coil to the
edis are ok, the green wire from the tacho/ speedo assembly is open
cicuit when tested to earth any ideas anyone?
