All the best cars are RWD as is F1 and so are all the formula's, the main reason for FWD is it is cheapest and safest for average drivers to control. I have raced a Peugeot 205 GTI so am not adverse to FWD. I am surprised the 2+2 is as heavy as it is but the fibreglass is very good and thick. -

You are missing one big point, that you have not defined 'best'. Without that claiming that the best cars are RWD is silly. Perhaps 4WD is better, but better at what? Certainly increased traction in many situations. However it won't be best for economy as it will be heavier compared to the eq

again, please define superior. I'm sure there are several hundred 2+2 and H4 owners who will (in their opinion) believe their small corner of kit car customisation is far superior to anything else. I would never take that away, they are all 100% right! This is what makes kit car ownership

Hi, So does this mean that any new kit should be based on a platform that has the option of rwd, or 4wd? so not sure what that would be, focus in reverse? It surely all depends what you want from your car, from a sports supercar, a vaalue for money fun sports car, an everyday car or a diesel

Yes, would be a good quality choice. What do we really want, a 2 seater, a 2+2 or a 4 seater cabriolet with hard roof like the H4. What has the biggest appeal across the board, I personally like the H4, and roof set up, but the +2 is next to useless, so often cant use it if giving anyone a l

What was that quantum that was a FWD at the back, was it sunrunner? Why not expand that idea more? I totally agree, it is all very subjective. Anyone developing a new kit needs to find an angle that will sell. Ultimately this has to be commercially viable. I'd like to see As fuel efficient as

While working on my exhaust I noticed a small damp patch on my fuel tank. This I found to smell of petrol. Anybody any suggestions for where best to purchase a 'new' tank from. The reason for a new tank is that the current one is a bit battered & bruised; also it is the best part of 26 years old!
