I got my new shocks and top mounts today and will be fitting them on Sunday. I
had a fright last night, someone walked out in front of me, I went for the
brakes and the pedal went straight to the floor. Thankfully the handbrake
worked. I found that one of the rear cylinders was leaking fluid bad
Quick point on rear lights:
- fog lights must be separated from the brake light by 4" on centres
minimum. My preference is for outside side lights, inside brake
lights, and outside fog lights - so a 'stop'n'tail' lamp in the side/
fog position.
- fog lights must be symmetrical, central, or fitted
The big hint on 2+2 front shocks is to release the top nut with the
weight on the wheels; that way the damn thing will actually come off
(you don't need to remove it completely until you want them off).
You may need an impact wrench - airgun or similar - to get the second
nut off; it's been a pain
Fluorescent lights emit UV light internally, which is converted to to
visible light by persuading phosphors on the inside of the tube, er,
fluoresce. That means you can't have a point source, or anything close
to it, so even with the mechanical issues sorted you'd still need an
enormous reflector/l
As yours, Michael, my starter was fine cold but embarrassing when hot.
Which caused me to buy an unneeded replacement battery, early on. Oh
well, it's still in there (but turning the Fiat engine over now!)

Has anyone got dimensions/drawings, etc of a suitable swirl pot to fit
in the tank? That could make the process quicker.
Also is there any reason why there should not be a swirl
