I tried to lift the centre console but it wouldn't come off! Any idea how it's held on? Are you saying once I've disconnected I can then pull the window up? Thanks. -- -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Quantum Owners Group" group. To post to this g

It depends which console has been fitted but there are usually a couple of screws at each end near the bottom. But, you shouldn't need to remove the console, just pull or gently lever (old kitchen knife) the switches out. No, you can only move the windows under power, if you try to move them m

Lift off the rubber gear lever gaiter, if you have long fingers you can then grope around inside the centre console and push out the switches. Chris G -Original Message- From: SMIDG3T Sent: Wednesday, December 9, 2015 1:42 PM To: Quantum Owners Group Subject: Re: [Quantum Owners] Elec

There must be limit switches in the circuit to stop the window either going too far up or down. If the upper limit switch is sticking it would prevent the window raising. Mark On 9 Dec 2015 15:17, "Chris" wrote: > Lift off the rubber gear lever gaiter, if you have long fingers you can > then gro

The ones with one touch operation just have a circuit that monitors the current the motor is taking, when it sees a sudden increase in current it knows the window has hit the top or bottom stops and cuts off the power. It uses the same circuit to detect if there is an obstruction. Still no limi

Thanks everyone. It's fixed. I managed to use a knife and lift up the switches. It seems it was just a very loose connection as I literally moved the wires a little and it started to go up again. Thanks. -- -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Quantu
