Actually, you can have a too free flowing exhaust for a turbo.
The turbo needs a certain amount of back pressure on the exhaus
long as you have at least one silencer you should be ok, mine is
2.5" right through with one silencer.

I'd replace it with a straight pipe. Exhaust noise will be louder, which
depends on your POV good or bad you decide.
More power, depends if you are tuning the engine and what other limiting
factors there are. In other words if the exhaust is a limiting factor then

I've found some 3/8 BSP plumbing fittings difficult to come by - though you
may find a plumbers merchants that has 1/2 to 3/8 reducers. Beware that
plumbing threads are available in both parallel and taper thread!

pump is on the front of the engine behind the crank pulley and timing
chain, much the same as it is on the CVH.

There are 2 variations of the Mk2 Fiesta engine mounting bracket and gearbox
cradle.
The XR2 version mounts the engine about 10mm lower than the other version.
You can tell if you've got the lower cradle as it has 2 chunks of 10mm bar
welded across the top of the mounting holes where the cradle
